Musicians Guide To Toronto
I've tried to assemble a broad list of useful services and interesting places in Toronto. Included are a variety of 24 hour and late night services, as well as services you may need during the day, such as health care, libraries, post offices, and fun things to do and see. Most of these are in the downtown area, near one of the NXNE clubs.
Toronto is a big city and I may miss some useful stuff, please send suggestions to: The Travel Guide
SOME IMPORTANT THINGS ABOUT TORONTO FOR WESTERN DRIVERS AND PEDESTRIANS
Most of the cities in the East were built much earlier than the cities in the West. The numbering of city blocks is quite different here.
1) Do not expect the blocks here to change the hundred number at every corner. The cities in the West were planned. Toronto just grew.
2) Do not expect the numbers on one side of the street to correspond to the numbers on the other side of the street. They generally do, but often don’t. If you are looking for an odd number, look on that side of the street, in some places the number on the other side of the street is in a completely different hundred number. Also, don’t expect the 300 block College Street for example, to be East of Spadina, which is where the 300 block on Queen Street is. It doesn’t work like that here.
